We are searching for...
Security Researcher / Offensive Security Engineer
At Verantra, we don’t run scans and call it a day. We break systems to understand them—and help fix what actually matters.
We’re looking for someone who thinks like an attacker and enjoys going past the obvious.
What you’ll do
- Perform external and internal penetration tests across networks, web applications, and APIs
- Develop custom exploits to demonstrate real-world impact
- Simulate advanced attack scenarios (red teaming) when needed
- Turn complex findings into clear, actionable reports
- Research new techniques, bypasses, and attack paths
What we expect
- Solid experience in offensive security or professional pentesting
- Ability to write proof-of-concept code (Python, C/C++, Ruby, or similar)
- Strong understanding of web and network security (OWASP, AD/Kerberos, lateral movement)
- Comfortable going beyond automated tools
- Clear communication—both technical and non-technical
Tools you’ll likely use
Burp Suite, Metasploit, C2 frameworks (e.g. Cobalt Strike), IDA, Ghidra, fuzzers like AFL—and whatever else gets the job done.
Bonus points
- Experience with exploit development beyond PoC level
- Background in low-level systems or reverse engineering
- Contributions to security research or tooling
- You’ve found things others missed
How we work
- No checkbox security
- Depth over volume
- Small team, direct communication
- We care about real impact, not reports nobody reads
What you get
- Remote work
- Real technical challenges
- High autonomy
- The chance to go deep, not wide

DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
At Verantra, infrastructure isn’t an afterthought. We design and run systems that are meant to last—on real hardware, not just abstractions.
We’re looking for someone who understands how systems actually behave under load, failure, and change.
What you’ll do
- Run and improve our on-premise infrastructure (Proxmox cluster and backups)
- Automate everything that should be repeatable (Terraform, Ansible)
- Build and maintain observability across the stack (logs, metrics, traces)
- Analyze and improve networking, routing, and system behavior
- Maintain and evolve CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure backups are reliable, simple, and actually restorable
What we expect
- Solid experience in DevOps, SRE, or systems engineering
- Strong understanding of Linux systems and networking
- Hands-on experience with virtualization (Proxmox or similar)
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
- Familiarity with monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki)
- Ability to debug real problems—not just follow runbooks
What you’ll work with
Proxmox, Proxmox Backup Server, Terraform, Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, GitLab CI—and whatever else is needed.
Bonus points
- Experience running on-premise or hybrid infrastructure
- Strong networking background (routing, firewalls, performance)
- Experience with distributed systems
- You’ve fixed systems under pressure—not just maintained them
How we work
- No “cloud-first” dogma—use what makes sense
- Automation over manual processes
- Depth over quick fixes
- Small team, direct communication
What you get
- Remote work
- Real ownership of infrastructure
- Technical challenges that go beyond dashboards
- The chance to build systems properly

Full Stack Engineer
At Verantra, we build systems end-to-end. No artificial boundaries between frontend and backend—just solving the problem properly.
We’re looking for someone comfortable moving across the stack, choosing the right tool for the job, and making things work as a whole.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain web applications (TypeScript + React)
- Design and implement backend services (primarily Python)
- Model data and optimize queries (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Work with ORMs and data layers without losing sight of what’s underneath
- Contribute to system design and performance decisions
- Collaborate closely with engineers to turn ideas into working systems
What we expect
- Strong experience with TypeScript (React) and Python
- Solid understanding of relational databases
- Comfortable working across frontend and backend
- Familiarity with APIs, Git, and modern development workflows
- Generalist mindset—you learn what’s needed to solve the problem
- Attention to both detail and system-level impact
What you’ll work with
TypeScript, React, Python, PostgreSQL, MySQL, common ORMs—and whatever else makes sense.
Bonus points
- Experience with low-level programming (C/C++ or similar)
- Strong understanding of performance and system behavior
- Experience designing systems, not just implementing tasks
- You’ve worked across very different parts of the stack
How we work
- No strict role boundaries
- Right tool over familiar tool
- Research before implementation
- Small team, direct communication
What you get
- Remote work
- High impact on real systems
- Freedom to move across the stack
- The chance to build things properly

IT Testing / QA Engineer
At Verantra, we build systems that are meant to last. No shortcuts, no unnecessary complexity—just solid engineering, clear thinking, and attention to detail.
We’re looking for someone who actually cares about quality.
What you’ll do
- Design and execute test strategies across backend systems, APIs, and distributed architectures
- Break things early (and often) so they don’t break in production
- Collaborate with engineers to define acceptance criteria and uncover edge cases
- Automate what makes sense—and challenge what doesn’t
- Integrate QA into CI/CD pipelines as part of the development lifecycle
- Continuously improve testing practices and tooling
What we expect
- Strong experience in software testing / QA (manual and automated)
- Good understanding of APIs, microservices, and system behavior
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows
- High attention to detail without losing sight of system-level impact
- Clear communication with engineers and stakeholders
Bonus points
- Experience with performance or security testing
- Scripting skills (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
- Experience testing distributed or high-load systems
- You’ve built internal tools to improve testing workflows
How we work
- We use AI where it helps—but rely on human judgment where it matters
- We optimize for long-term maintainability, not quick fixes
- QA is part of the process, not a final gate
- We value clarity over process overhead
What you get
- Real technical challenges
- A small team with high impact
- No corporate overhead
- The chance to shape how quality is done

Product Owner / Technical Product Manager
At Verantra, we don’t build products in isolation. We build them to solve real problems—and that requires clarity, prioritization, and constant feedback.
We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of a product, understand stakeholders, and drive it forward without noise.
What you’ll do
- Own a specific product or project end-to-end
- Talk to stakeholders and translate needs into clear requirements

- Experience working with complex or technical products
- You’ve taken a product from idea to production
- You can say “no” when needed—and explain why
How we work
- No feature factories
- Priorities over backlog bloat
- Direct communication with stakeholders
- Small team, fast feedback loops
What you get
- Remote work
- Real ownership of a product
- Direct impact on what gets built and why
- The chance to shape direction, not just execution
